Baby rice - day 2

George seemed to really enjoy his second bowl of baby rice and ate it all up.

1am!

George didn't have much supper last night but went to sleep well. He woke at 1am but luckily he ate his bottle quickly and fell asleep around 1.30am. He then woke at 6 this morning. We will be trying some more baby rice again today.

Baby rice - attempt 1

George has been more unsettled the last few evenings and he woke for a feed at 2.30 last night. So we have decided to start with a little bit of baby rice.

I gave George a few spoonfuls at his 9 o'clock feed this morning. He seemed more impressed with the fact he had a bib on.

Gran and Grandad have come up today to look after George while I do some more work.

Knaresborough and Doncaster

Gran, Grandad, George and I went to visit Great Great Auntie Norah at Knaresborough yesterday morning.

We then travelled to Doncaster to visit Great Great Uncle Jim.

George really enjoyed himself and wasn't bothered by the long journey. Apart from the last half an hour, George started to get a bit hungry and we had to sing to him.

Fish and Chips, Tummy Time and Stockton...

We have had a very busy day today. We went to Nan's for fish and chips at lunch time. George and I went to Tummy time, which was busier today but George really enjoyed himself.

We have come up to Stockton tonight, George settled to sleep around 6.30.

We came back to Stanley yesterday afternoon. George had a great night, he fell asleep at 6.30pm until 6.30am this morning.

Today we have been out to lunch at the Bascule pub at the Quayside and had a little walk around the wharf.

Happy Birthday to me!

We had a lovely and busy day yesterday.

George woke around 6.30 so we got packed up and went to Starbucks for a birthday breakfast. We then went to Nan's for lunch.

In the afternoon we travelled to Stockton. Great Gran, Great Grandma, Great Auntie Molly, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Mark came round for tea. George really enjoyed playing outside with the ball...

Weight update

George and I have just been to see health visitor. George's weight has gone up from 14lbs 13oz to 15lbs 12 and a half oz in two weeks. Very pleased about that, the higher amount of milk has really made a difference.

Stupid Asda trolleys

Another great sleep George woke around 6.30 this morning. He really has got himself into a great routine.

We have been to Asda this morning which was fine apart from the stupid car seat trolleys. You can't see a thing over them, nearly ran over about 12 people over.

George not looking too happy I was trying to teach him numbers this morning...

Working hard

Sorry about the lack of updates, I have been very busy getting on with my web design work.

On Wednesday George and I went to visit Perfect Image so I could clear my desk. As we were going up in the lift the sandwich man managed to upset George. He is obviously as scary as his scarily bad cheese savoury sandwiches. Took a while to settle him down but he was ok after we a did a rather difficult nappy change on the meeting room floor. We then went to lunch with Julia and Kelly and George fell asleep.

Today Gran has been up to look after George while I got my designs done. They went to the Metro centre in the morning.

George has been sleeping well but has woke up really upset again tonight. Hopefully he is back to sleep for the night now.

Good sleep

We had another good night last night. George went to sleep around 7pm and slept until 6.30am. He was playing with his toys from about 5.

It is getting hard taking photos of George as he moves so much they are always blurry.

Return of the play gym

Another busy day today. George and I have been to Nan's for lunch, and George got to meet his third cousin Sheila who is visiting.

We then went to Tummy time which George seemed to enjoy this week. He did lots of rolling as usual.

I thought George might enjoy using his play gym again. He seems a lot more interested in it but kepts rolling off it.

Early morning

George and I went to Nan's yesterday for fish and chips. The rest of the day I was doing my work. George went to bed around 7, even though I set the smoke alarm off while cooking our tea. He slept well but woke at 5.30am for a feed and didn't seem to want to go back to sleep but finally did. He then woke at 7 so we have had an early start to the day.

Back home

We came back home yesterday afternoon. We managed to get George to bed around 7pm but he woke up screaming for a about 5 minutes. It took a while to settle him, I think he must have had a nightmare. He went back to sleep and slept until 6.30 this morning.

7.30am!

George slept until 7.30 this morning from 6.30 the night before.

We have come to visit Gran and Grandad today, while Daddy has gone to Newcastle to watch the match with Uncle Boggle.

George has been great today and has done lots of rolling.

Afternoon visitors

Nan and Norma came round to visit this afternoon. George has been really good today and has gone to sleep at 6.30 tonight, a bit early but he was really tired.

Cot mobile

George had another good night last night. He went to sleep at 7.45 and slept until 5.30 this morning. He woke up a bit earlier but was playing with his cot toys for about half an hour. He even managed to switch his cot mobile on, I have a feeling he may have head butted it.

We are having another day in the house today and George seems to be having a very hungry day.

Health visitor visit

George and I have spent the day in the house as Anne the health visitor was calling round to check on George's weight.

She is very pleased with him and thinks he is not putting much weight on as he is so active. Which is what we all thought. She also thinks he wont last until 6 months to start weaning. So she recommends waiting until he drains his bottles again or becomes more unsettled, so we will see how he goes over the next week.

I popped upstairs to get George a clean vest and he managed to roll off his change mat again...

I have been trying to stop George sleeping so much in an afternoon so he goes to sleep easier on an evening but he is shattered and has fallen asleep in this position...

Lion escapes

George has just managed to pull his lion cot toy off the cot...

First time on a bus!

Yesterday George and I went to Nan's for fish and chips. We then went to Tummy Time which was much busier this week. George did a lot of rolling.

George was great last night, he went to bed at 7.20 but woke at 8.30 for a nappy change. He went back to sleep and slept until 7.00 this morning.

George and I have had a lovely day today, we went to Starbucks for breakfast. Then we met Lisa and had a look around the Metro centre. After lunch we got a bit bored of the shops so we decided to get the bus over to Ikea. It was really easy getting George on and off the bus and was probably easier than driving over. We did have a bit of trouble finding the lifts to get to the bus station.
