The Lakes
On Friday morning George, Daddy, Mammy, Gran and Grandad travelled to the Lake District. We went for lunch at Brantwood. We then went to our cottage which had some lovely views over Lake Coniston.
We then walked down to the lake and George had his first paddle in the water. He loved it and even went in without any shoes and socks on.
We had a very busy day on Saturday. We went to Fell Foot Park on Lake Windermere. We had a long walk, a play in the play area and then had a boat trip over to the other side of the river, Lakeside. We went on a steam train ride from Lakeside to Haverthwaite. George found it so relaxing he fell asleep in Gran's arms. We then went for more paddling in Lake Coniston.
On Sunday we went for a walk at Tarn Hawes. It was a lovely walk but it started to pour down and we all got soaked. We went for a walk by the cottage in the afternoon and George had a great time jumping in all the puddles.
As it was still raining this morning we decided to travel back home. We went for lunch at The Masham, Stockton.
George really enjoyed his first holiday and slept very well.
